Vape Delivery Update: Canada Post Strike Notice

Dear Puff Prism Community,

We wanted to inform you about a critical situation that may affect your orders. Canada Post has received strike notices from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) for urban and rural mail carriers. Strike activity could begin as early as Friday, May 23, 2025, at midnight local time unless agreements are reached.

How This Affects Your Vape Orders

As the only legal shipping option for cannabis products in Canada, any disruption to Canada Post directly impacts our ability to get your favourite vapes to you. Our team has been monitoring this situation closely, and here’s what you need to know:

  • For Immediate Orders: If you’re considering placing an order, we recommend doing so as soon as possible to increase the chances of your package being processed before any potential strike action begins.
  • During Rotating Strikes: Canada Post has indicated they’ll continue deliveries in unaffected areas during rotating strikes, but delays are expected. Our team has observed during previous labour actions that rural areas, where many of our customers have limited access to brick-and-mortar vape shops, often experience the most significant disruptions.
  • During a National Strike: If a full national strike occurs, no new packages will be accepted and no deliveries will be made until operations resume. Any packages already in the Canada Post system will be secured and delivered once the strike ends.

Our Contingency Plans

Our team at Puff Prism is working on contingency plans to minimize disruptions to our service. We’ve stocked up on our most popular disposable vape pens to ensure we’re ready to fulfill your orders as soon as shipping resumes.

What You Can Do

  1. Stock Up Now: If you rely on our products, consider placing a larger order before May 23 to ensure you have enough supply during any potential disruption.
  2. Stay Informed: We’ll update this blog with the latest information as the situation develops. You can also check Canada Post’s official communications for real-time updates.
  3. Be Patient: If a strike occurs, please understand that delivery times may be affected. Once operations resume, a backlog may develop that takes time to clear.

The Bigger Picture

This potential strike is challenging for Canada Post, which has recorded over $3 billion in losses since 2018 and required government funding of up to $1.034 billion earlier this year to prevent insolvency.

As Canada’s largest selection of cannabis vapes (with over 500 products!), we remain committed to providing you with the best vaping experience possible, even during these challenging circumstances.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support of Puff Prism.

Stay tuned for updates,

The Puff Prism Team
